Crochet Circle
with Dwayne Lawson-Brown
Join Dwayne Lawson-Brown, also known as the Crochet Kingpin, for Crochet Circle at Phillips@THEARC. Inspired by the work of Sam Gilliam, this program connects art at The Phillips Collection with crochet and conversation.
During the June and July sessions, participants will also have the opportunity to see Dwayne’s work in progress, developed in response to Sam Gilliam’s Sierra from The Phillips Collection.
All skill levels and ages are welcome. Advanced participants are encouraged to bring fiber arts projects they are currently working on, while beginners can receive basic crochet instruction. Yarn and crochet hooks will be provided, along with refreshments.
This series forms part of Art-Play-Practice, a dynamic new program from Phillips@THEARC.
