Continuing its long-standing partnership with Phillips Music, the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium brings five exceptional young artists-in-residence to the Music Room for a program of piano quintets. Italian composer and Stanford University music theorist Giancarlo Aquilanti will make a special appearance to discuss his own Piano Quintet, heard here in its US premiere, alongside Erich Wolfgang Korngold’s expressive 1921 Piano Quintet.
