Anacostia River Festival
Celebrate DC Herstory
The 11th Street Bridge Park and the National Park Service present the 12th annual Anacostia River Festival.
The Anacostia River Festival celebrates the rich cultural history of Black Washingtonians across the district. This year is particularly special as attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the Founding Matriarchs whose ingenuity, leadership, and creativity have made an enduring impact on our communities and the Anacostia River. Festivalgoers will have the opportunity to experience live musical performances, historical exhibitions, and curated marketplaces that pay homage to the Black experience in DC.
