Daniela Liebman

Due to an unexpected medical issue, this Sunday’s scheduled performer, Stephen Drury, is unable to join us. We wish him a swift and full recovery. We’re pleased to share that Mexican pianist Daniela Liebman has graciously agreed to join us, making her Phillips Music debut with a program from Beethoven’s Sonata in G major, Op. 31, No. 1 and Janáček’s evocative In the Mists to works by Germaine Tailleferre, Isaac Cortijo, Alfredo Carrasco, and Rachmaninoff’s brilliant Études-Tableaux.

Twenty-three-year-old Mexican pianist Daniela Liebman has rapidly established herself as an artist of eloquence, poise, and nuance. Since making her debut at age eight with the Aguascalientes Symphony, she has performed with more than thirty orchestras on four continents; at age eleven, she made her Carnegie Hall debut with Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 2, and at fourteen performed for First Lady Jill Biden at the Kennedy Center. In 2025–26, she opens the San Antonio Philharmonic’s season with Jeffrey Kahane.

This performance is generously sponsored by Deborah and Terry Houlihan.
