Hands-on with Waterway Painting
with Rik Freeman

In conjunction with the exhibition Rik Freeman: Wade in the Waters, join us for a hands-on workshop led by Rik Freeman where participants are invited to create an imaginative painting that explores the ephemeral nature of water and memory—fleeting, moving, transcendent. We will explore the artist’s practice through the meditation quality of painting water and how one begins to visualize that which has passed—much like looking at clouds and seeing them moving and the feeling of being under. Participants are encouraged to bring a photo of a water-related memory.
No experience necessary. All materials provided.
