Hands-on with Poetry and Woodblock Printing
with Monica Jahan Bose

In conjunction with the exhibition Rik Freeman: Wade in the Waters, join us for a hands-on workshop led by Monica Jahan Bose where participants are invited to free themselves through the power of movement, art, and poetry as a form of expression. The artist has created community spaces across continents that bring people together to explore our connections with each other, with water and earth, and the unity of humans with all who share our planet. We will learn the techniques of wood-block printing and 6-word poems, and each create a unique fiber art piece to take home. Writing, especially when combined with visual language, can be a powerful tool.
No experience necessary. All materials provided.
