Event Details
Join Red Dirt Studio artists—a cartoonist and a writer/corruption prosecutor—as they recall tall tales of how they collaborated and turned real experiences and dark scenarios into comic book illustrations. Through a series of fun drawing exercises Andy and Peter will show you how to extract the important details from a piece of text and turn them into a 3-panel comic strip.
Andy Hamilton is an illustrator with over 30 years experience in the field, and when he’s not in a field you can find him at his drawing board. Peter Sprung is a writer, painter, and former US prosecutor who handled mafia cases in New York and corruption in corporate America, Congress, the UN, and the former Soviet Union. He is now training foreign journalists who cover corruption and organized crime.
