About Jon Mitchell and Odd Provisions
Odd Provisions is an extraordinary corner market serving Columbia Heights for almost 10 years. We offer convenient groceries, produce from regional Amish farms, housemade grab and go prepared foods, natural wine, craft beer, and gifts by local artisans. Our craft beer program emphasizes freshness and seasonality. Our wine program highlights smaller family wineries. After college, Jon Mitchell began a journey tasting craft beer whenever the opportunity struck, developing an appreciation for all things beer. From homebrewing to running retail beer programs to managing a local brewery taproom, Jon has been involved with many facets of the Washington, DC beer scene for over 15 years. This time has taught him much about the industry and consumer trends, and allowed him to sample some of the best beers in the world.
