About Donvonte McCoy
Donvonte McCoy is one of today’s finest Jazz trumpeters. He has toured with artists such as Lionel Hampton, Jason Moran, Eric Wyatt, Curtis Fuller, Charles Davis, Larry Ridley, Mikki Howard, Marcus Johnson, Steve Williams, Larry Willis and many more! His debut CD Third Floor was well received by Washington D.C’s City Paper. As a native Washingtonian, Donvonte’s Quintet performed regularly at the Historic Bohemian Caverns. His ensemble was featured weekly for over a decade at one of DC’s finest nightclubs, Eighteenth Street Lounge. Donvonte has also performed with Aretha Franklin, Ruth Brown, El Debarge, Fantasia, and many others as a Jazz soloist.
About Ben Scott
Ben Scott is a jazz guitarist, composer, and educator based in Washington, DC. Originally from Virginia Beach, his love of jazz began after joining his High School band, where he was introduced to the rich tradition of jazz music. A recent graduate of James Madison University, Ben completed his bachelor’s degree in music performance with a concentration in Jazz Studies, where he was introduced to the music of many of his greatest musical influences, ranging from Charles Mingus and Billy Strayhorn, to Lage Lund and Julian Lage. He can be found around DC playing whenever possible at jam sessions and other performance venues.
About DJ Ebb King
Ebb King is a DC-based DJ who broke into the scene in 2021 and has built a reputation for genre-fluid sets spanning nostalgic hits, house, disco, hip hop, and more. Her broad musical range lets her connect with a wide variety of crowds and rooms. She’s DJ’d prominent events like Everyday People and opened for artists including Aluna & Majid Jordan, Marc Rebillet, and Zack Fox, and Odeal. Her client list includes Gucci, Jordan Brand, the Smithsonian, and Alo. Influenced by artists like Kaytranada, Peggy Gou, and Black Coffee, Ebb’s sets blend infectious rhythms with soulful beats, built to get people moving whether or not they know the song.
