About Phil Linder
Phil Linder is an American painter based in Georgetown, Washington DC. A former military helicopter pilot, Philip began painting at age 31. His work draws from experiences and impressions in his own life through an abstract expressionist lens. Philip’s dynamic paintings feature multiple layers and a variety of textures, creating movement, emotion, and tension through bold colors. Philip is drawn to the subject of the unconscious and its influence on human behavior and motivation. He wishes to explore the complexity of human nature and the struggle to integrate our nature in a modern world that demands so much from us. His work has been featured in galleries in Washington, DC.
