Films from the Phillips Archives
Phillips Collection documentary from 1986

Do you remember The Phillips Collection of the early 1990s? Join us for the first public screening of a short documentary that was recently digitized from The Phillips Collection’s archive. The film was produced in 1986 in memory of Marjorie Phillips (1894-1985), and features the voice of Duncan Phillips, an interview with Marjorie, remarks from curators and artists including a young Sam Gilliam, early footage of the galleries, and a short history of the museum. Kathryn S. Rogge, Exhibition Manager at The Phillips Collection, will offer remarks.
This event takes places during Third Thursdays—visit The Phillips Collection during our free extended hours from 5-8 pm!
