Express: Make art in response to Lawrence’s series
Empathize: Listen to an educator read Jacqueline Woodson’s picture book This Is the Rope: A Story from the Great Migration
Connect: View a documentary about three DC residents’ migration stories based on interviews conducted by high school students
Experiment: Play musical instruments in a petting zoo provided by National Symphony Orchestra Volunteer Council
This program is a collaboration with the Kennedy Center and National Symphony Orchestra, which will dramatize This Is the Rope on April 2, 2023, at the Kennedy Center.
