Brian Dailey discusses his work and his upcoming exhibition at the National Gallery of Art in Sofia, Bulgaria, with Director for the Center for the Study of Modern Art and Curator at Large Klaus Ottmann. Dailey has studios in Virginia and DC and uses various media including the photography, digital film, installations, and painting. Throughout the 1970s, he worked and exhibited in Los Angeles, staging performance art, installations, and conceptual work. In 1981, he began working in arms control and international security policy, but returned to art full time in 2008. He received his MFA from the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles and a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Southern California. Dailey’s recent monograph, America in Color, will be available for purchase. A book signing follows the discussion.
