What's on View

The Phillips Collection is well known for making regular changes in the selection and location of works of art in its galleries, a practice that offers fresh viewing experiences even to frequent visitors. As with most art museums, the entire collection is never on display at one time. The Phillips also arranges traveling exhibitions of works from its collection and lends works to other institutions. For all of these reasons, some of the works of art included in this Web site may not be on exhibit at The Phillips Collection during your visit.

In addition to the permanent collection, The Phillips Collection offers frequent special exhibitions. These fascinating, often surprising exhibitions may showcase parts of the permanent collection in a new context, display works from other institutions, or combine works from the Phillips with works from other institutions.
