Cell Phones

Some Phillips special exhibitions offer audio guides that you can hear on your cell phone. Please limit use of your cell phone to these audio recordings, and do not make or receive other calls in the galleries. Please turn off the ringtone on your phone during your visit.

Photography

Photography, including the use of camera cell phones, is not permitted in any special exhibition or for certain objects on loan to the museum. Non-flash photography of works in the permanent collection is allowed for personal use only.

Visitors with Children

Please stay with your children at all times. Strollers and front facing baby carriers are permitted in the galleries; backpacks, including back baby carriers, are not allowed. 

Coats and Backpacks

The Phillips offers its visitors complimentary coat check service in the lobby. Backpacks are not allowed in the galleries and should be checked as well.

Mobility Access

All galleries and public facilities of the museum are wheelchair accessible. A limited number of wheelchairs is available at the coat check. Elevators are available throughout the museum; a wheelchair lift is also available between Goh Floor 3 and the skywalk to House Floor 2U. Please see a museum assistant for access to the lift. The Center for the Study of Modern Art also has an elevator available for its public programs.
