Support Music Programs

Ways to Support Music Programs at the Phillips

Since its opening in 1921, the Phillips has included music programs as an integral part of its cultural offerings. The Sunday Concert series, established in 1941, is one of Washington's premier chamber music programs. Held on a weekly basis from October to May, the Sunday Concerts feature performances by emerging artists and internationally known musicians in the intimate, art-filled Music Room. The Phillips has also recently added an exciting new evening concert series, Leading European Composers. Jazz performances, meanwhile, enliven the Phillips after 5 programs on the first Thursday of the month.

We invite your participation in two new initiatives to build substantial support for music programs at the Phillips.

The Phillips Music Endowment Fund

The Phillips Music Endowment Fund was established to provide a solid foundation for the music program, so that it can continue to serve the Washington community for many decades to come. The goal over the next five years is to build a $3 million endowment, which would provide the $150,000 needed annually for artists' honoraria, the music director, recordings, concert expenses, and other costs. Gifts of any size can be added to the endowment. Naming opportunities are available. The Phillips is happy to work with donors to customize a package of recognition opportunities and benefits that address their needs and wishes.

For more information or to contribute to the Music Endowment Fund, please contact Kara Ramirez Mullins, Director of Development, at kmullins@phillipscollection.org or 202-387-2151 x265.
