The International Forum is a group of leading collectors and supporters from around the world who share a vision of the importance of modern and contemporary art. Its members enjoy exclusive invitations to the annual Weekend in Washington and to events in other cities throughout the year. They also receive personalized access to the Phillips and its senior staff, concierge services, and domestic and international travel opportunities, among other benefits.
The program's second annual Weekend in Washington took place in October 2010 and included visits to premier private collections, discussions with Intersections artists Regi Müller and Jae Ko, the Duncan Phillips Lecture by Alfredo Jaar, a concert by violinist Robert McDuffie followed by a coda session with the artist, and a dinner hosted by the Mexican ambassador. The weekend was further enriched by a day-long Cultural Diplomacy Forum in collaboration with the Aspen Institute.
Members of the International Forum's Founding Committee include Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Léonard Gianadda, Agnes Gund, Ellsworth Kelly, Margaret McDermott, Jennifer and Laughlin Phillips, Joann and Gifford Phillips, and Vicki Sant.
International Forum gifts are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
