This season, The Phillips Collection will feature gifted alumni from YoungArts in several of its public programs. YoungArts and The Phillips Collection have launched a partnership to showcase their mutual commitment to young artists in their developing careers.
YoungArts is the signature national organization that recognizes and supports the country's most talented 17 and 18 year olds in the visual, literary, and performing arts. It is the sole nominating agency for Presidential Scholars in the Arts. The foundation provides emerging artists with financial support and life-changing experiences with internationally renowned artists.

Sunday Concert
Ricardo Morales, 1989 YoungArts winner in Music and Presidential Scholar in the Arts, is currently the principal clarinet at the Philadelphia Orchestra. Morales will perform, followed by a conversation and question session.

Robert Ryman's Harmonies in Line and Color
Originally a saxophone player, Ryman's first artistic medium was music. The improvisational qualities of his white-on-white paintings are the inspiration for this interpretation by tenor saxophone Adam Robert Larson, 2009 YoungArts winner in Jazz.
