Music Programs

Music at the Phillips

Music programs are a vital part of the Phillips's cultural offerings, which have included concerts and music lectures since the museum opened in 1921. The  critically acclaimed Sunday Concerts, founded in 1941, continue to appeal to classical music lovers with a mix of established and emerging performers. The Phillips has recently added a new evening concert series, Leading European Composers.

Beginning with the 2009-2010 season, concerts in both series will be followed by Coda Sessions, providing audience members with a chance to ask questions and to converse with the featured soloists or composers immediately after the performance.

Museum visitors can also enjoy live jazz at the evening Phillips after 5 programs on the first Thursday of the month.

The Phillips welcomes support for its music programs. To learn more, please click here.
