Through his operas, his symphonies, his compositions for his own ensemble, and his wide-ranging collaborations with artists ranging from Twyla Tharp to Allen Ginsberg, Woody Allen to David Bowie, Philip Glass has had an extraordinary and unprecedented impact upon the musical and intellectual life of his times. Glass will perform a solo piano concert which will be followed by a dinner prepared by award-winning chef Brian McBride of Blue Duck Tavern.

Through Antonín Dvořák and Karel Husa we realize the influence of these two remarkable composers on both musical scenes – the U.S. and the Czech one. Dvořák came in 1892 and stayed shortly, Husa in 1951 and remained for life - both left an imprint of significance, of humanity and transcendence.
