From concerts to lectures to gallery talks, public programs are an integral part of the Phillips experience.

Consult the list at left to learn more about several program series at The Phillips Collection, as well as an array of other events. The museum also offers regular gallery talks and visitor tours and can arrange for guided group tours.

Art & Romance at Phillips after 5, with special guest DC Agenda
Kick off February with a cozy, art-filled evening at The Phillips Collection. Bring a valentine or meet one there as you sip champagne and sample Brazilian tapas from Chef Andrew Holden of FoodArts. In the Music Room, a violinist and a poet accompany DJ Adrian Loving as he spins music. The true life love story of Duncan and Marjorie Phillips comes alive at 6 and 7 pm with gallery talks about their personal and professional partnership. Before you leave, stop by the video diary booth, and tell us how art inspired love in your life. By donation; cash bar

FILM: I Remember Better When I Paint

Recorded in part at The Phillips Collection, this documentary provides powerful testimonials about the positive effects of art on the quality of life of Alzheimer's patients. Following the screening, filmmaker Berna Huebner discusses the film in collaboration with Gay Hanna, PhD, MFA, Executive Director of the National Center for Creative Aging (NCCA) and Janine Tursini, Executive Director of Arts for the Aging, Inc.
