THE PHILLIPS CAMERATA

The fall of 2011 welcomed the debut of The Phillips Camerata, the museum’s first resident ensemble compromised of internationally renowned artists from the New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and DC areas. Under the artistic direction of The Phillips Collection’s Director of Music Caroline Mousset, The Phillips Camerata performs regularly as part of the Sunday Concerts season and offers additional performances in the Washington area. The Phillips Camerata’s roster of artists enable great flexibility in programming. The ensemble, conducted by Yaniv Dinur, most recently performed the final concert of the 75th Anniversary Season, re-creating the first concert ever performed on the first official season of Sunday Concerts at The Phillips Collection in November 1941, to great acclaim.
