Teaching with Primary Sources
In the both the website and the Teaching Kit we have incorporated into many primary sources—train maps, playbills, letters—for authentic and innovative learning about the African American migration, Lawrence's biography and artistic process, and the Harlem Renaissance.
Compare and contrast these primary sources with The Migration Series to teach critical thinking skills and hone students' ability to analyze and interpret their world.
