Event Details

The first in a series debates in Generation Elsewhere: Art in the Age of Distraction, coordinated by the DeVos Institute of Arts Management, will take place at The Phillips Collection.  This discussion brings together experts on neuroscience, gamification, and the arts to address how technology-driven “mind change” has shaped the way audiences interact with the performing and visual arts. Baroness Susan Greenfield, an internationally esteemed research scientist, author, broadcaster, and co-founder of Neuro-Bio Ltd., will open the event with a lecture that familiarizes the audience with the topic and provides a starting point for the debate, which will be moderated by DeVos Institute President Brett Egan.

In partnership with the University of Maryland.
