Johan Grimonprez is a Belgian multimedia artist, filmmaker, and curator whose works critique mass produced contemporary and historical imagery. He achieved international acclaim with his film essay Dial H-I-S-T-O-R-Y (1997). Grimonprez divides his time between Brussels and New York, where he lectures at the School of Visual Arts.
