Young Artists Exhibitions

Young Artists Exhibitions

The Young Artists Exhibition program displays student artwork from the museum's educational initiatives. The Phillips produces three to four exhibitions a year, featuring student work from the Washington, D.C. area and across the nation.

Many Young Artists Exhibitions originate from the Phillips outreach program to the District of Columbia Public Schools, Art Links to Learning. These student exhibitions are the result of a rich collaboration between schools, the Phillips, and at times other museums. They include professional development for teachers, in-classroom workshops, and free museum field trips.

Explore our archive of past exhibitions by clicking on the menu item at left. For young artists' materials related to the 2008 exhibition The Great American Epic: Jacob Lawrence's Migration Series, see the children's art gallery in our online interactive program, Jacob Lawrence: The Migration Series.

The links below feature student work from New York, New Mexico and D.C., based on the traveling exhibition Georgia O'Keeffe: Abstraction.
