In honor of the museum’s 90th anniversary, this program celebrates the founder’s vision for the Phillips to be a “joy-giving, life-enhancing influence, assisting people to see beautifully as true artists see.” Through in-gallery activities, kindergarten through 8th grade students explore Duncan Phillips’s philosophies and process of collecting and exhibiting art. Students make hands-on connections to the big ideas discussed in the galleries by creating a work of art in the art workshop. This program may include works by Arthur Dove, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
