Marin wrote a poem about his experiences of New York’s energy and how these sensations became art: “They—the drawings—were mostly made in a series of wanderings around my City—New York –with pencil and paper in—sort of—short hand—writings as it were…” Using this as inspiration, take a walk around your neighborhood and take notes.
